AK Performance is a mobile ECU Tuning business based in Wantage. The business service a 30-mile radius spanning from Oxfordshire to reading. Work is carried out both B2C and B2B working with customers to enhance performance and fuel economy on their driveways as well as on-site with businesses requesting for fuel economy remapping to reduce their overheads. 

The goal

AK Performance relied on organic Social Media posting, Facebook Marketplace listings, and word-of-mouth recommendations to drum up new business. This approach generated irregular cash flow from sporadic inquiries which gave owner Adam little confidence to scale the business.

With ambitions of building a state-of-the-art vehicle tuning facility, AK Performance required the Goliath team to partner with the business long term to improve consistency of inquiries to ultimately generate more sales giving management more time to focus on scaling the businesses operations on the ground to achieve the goal of running both a mobile fleet and a HQ tuning facility. 

The Strategy: Stage 1. Social Media Advertising

The Goliath team produced Facebook ads engaging automotive enthusiasts within a 30-mile radius of AK Performance covering Wantage, Swindon, Reading, and Oxford. 

The Goliath team has vast experience in Remap marketing after running campaigns for over 30 remapping companies internationally. Due to this, we were able use data previously acquired through our Facebook pixel that helped us build lookalike audiences of automotive enthusiasts – making it perfect targeting towards those who want a performance or vehicle upgrade!

We also utilised Facebook Ad Managers targeting options to hone ads in on Demographic, the local 30 Mile radius AK Performance service and interests customers have expressed in automotive through liking and following pages and posts across Instagram and Facebook. 

Stage 2. Website rebuild and landing pages for PPC Marketing

Having successfully increased the volume of inquiries for AK performance across Social media, the Goliath team looked to diversify our marketing campaigns by introducing Google Ads. 

To ensure a successful conversion of clicks on the website to customer inquiries it was important to have both a great User experience on the website and clear call to actions, making it simple for customers to get in touch. 

We used customer testimonials and content from our social campaigns to design and build a website fit for our up coming Google pay per click campaigns. 

Once the website was finished, we conducted keyword research and ran Google pay per click campaigns to the core website and additional landing pages that we had produced specifically for the campaign exact matching customer queries to landing pages that answered even the most specific of questions.

Stage 3. Search Engine Optimisation
(SEO)

Social media and Google paid media campaigns conjured. Goliath had delivered on our promise of inquiry consistency, increasing sales and giving Owner Adam a reliable stream of business that gave confidence to hire and expand the business. 

Finally, we worked began working on search engine optimisation campaigns (SEO) to rank the website we had built on Google organically, in efforts to take away the dependence of Google pay per clicks and Facebook marketing to drive business. We aimed to rank the website for local search terms making AK Performance a locally recognised business in organic search.
